You can bequeath money, stocks, buildings. You can designate a charity as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy.

Here are the different channels our donors use the most:

One-Time Gift

Any gift made in cash, by cheque, credit card or pre-authorized bank withdrawal, from the smallest to the most prestigious, will help the Foundation fight children’s diseases.

The Foundation issues tax receipts for all donations of $25 or more (or upon request) that it receives by mail, telephone, or email.

Monthly Gift

You can make a monthly donation to the Foundation by credit card or pre-authorized bank withdrawal. You can change the amount your gift or the bank account used at any time.

Planned Giving

A planned gift allows you to choose the most suitable and easiest way for you to give to a charity, through various little-known means, without impacting the quality of your life or the life of your loved ones. This approach offers interesting tax benefits for the donor. And if you have once benefited from the love and support of a charity, planned giving can help you show your gratitude in a tangible way.

Life Insurance

You could take out a life insurance policy to the sole benefit of the Foundation. The Foundation would become the owner and beneficiary of the policy. Each year you pay the premium, the Foundation will issue a tax receipt in the amount of the premium. The total amount of the policy will be donated to the Foundation after your death.

Bequest

You can choose to bequeath an amount of money, real estate property, or personal property by including the Foundation in your will.  Whether handwritten or notarized, a will lets you express your intention to support the mission of the Foundation, even after your death. Once the Foundation receives your donation, it will issue a tax receipt that could benefit your heirs.

Life Annuity

If you give us a lump sum, the Foundation could commit to pay you an annuity until the day you die.

A tax receipt will be issued; its amount will be calculated according to current tax rules.

Gift in Honour

Some life events should be particularly highlighted – a birthday, a wedding, a graduation, a promotion – either by the person involved or by their relatives. Contact us to receive our standard form or to have a customized form made for your event.

Gifts can be made by credit card or cheque. Amounts can be kept confidential, and a tax receipt is issued for every gift of $25 or more, or upon request.

In Memoriam Gift

A grieving family will appreciate that their loved ones make donations to the Foundation in memory of the deceased. Amounts remain confidential, and a tax receipt is issued for every gift of $25 or more, or upon request.

Giving Through Lotomatique

Subscribe to Lotomatique, as an individual or as part of a group, and add the name of the Foundation to tie us to your gains. Simply name the Foundation of Stars as a non-profit organization (Registration # 891 9935 45 RR 0001) to which the share will be paid to. The Foundation and all the children who will eventually benefit from pediatric research will be able to share your winnings.
